Each consultation is customized based on your individual needs and lasts 1.5-2 hours. In the comfort of your home, I will perform a complete health assessment of both mom and baby, including details about the delivery. My goal is to get a real view of you breastfeeding, so ideally I'm present during a feeding. Using a hospital grade scale, I will weigh your baby before and after a feeding. This way I can gauge your milk production and your baby's nutritional intake.
I will be available to answer any follow-up questions or concerns via secure phone, text or email communications (included in the consult fee). Follow-up in person consultations receive a $100 discount off the initial rate.
When we're done with the home visit, I'll give you a plan of care filled with resources and follow-up instructions. A copy of the plan of care will also be forwarded to your OB and your baby's pediatrician as needed.
In addition, you will be provided with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and is based on individual coverage. Learn more about your rights under the Affordable Care Act here.
When you need quick advice or reassurance, I’m just a phone call away. Some situations do not require a hands-on consultation and I'd love to help you with questions that arise as your baby develops. For new or current clients and includes a follow up summary with links and resources.
Video chat is a great resource if you are unable to meet in person. You can practically be anywhere and still receive the support you and your baby need.
You can send me your questions and concerns in advance to make the best use of our time together. With the video option, you'll be able to show me exactly what's going on with you and your baby.
After we're done, I'll email you a plan of care that includes links and resources so you can implement the follow up instructions. For new or current clients. HIPAA-compliant platform provided.
Typically phone and video sessions are not eligible for insurance reimbursement under the ACA, but a superbill will be provided upon request.
